A COMPENDIUM OF SEMI-CONTINUOUS SHIFT ROTAS
Contains 170 fully illustrated examples of various types of semi-continuous rota. That is, rotas that provide twenty-for hour cover for less than seven days a week. In other words there is no production for part of the week, normally at weekends. The illustrative rotas in this publication provide continuous cover for 104 and 144 hours a week.
They include examples of rotas based on three, three-and-a-half, and four team working. Also rotas based on the working of two (12hr) or three (8hr) shifts a day; rotas that contain one or more rotations within a block of shifts; rotas with forward, backward or semi-backward rotations within or across blocks of shifts; and annual hours rotas that incorporate holiday entitlements.
