Publications35 FOUR TEAM, THREE (8HR) SHIFTS A DAY, SEVEN DAY ROTASThe purpose of this publication is to provide shift work practitioners with a comprehensive reference work illustrating the main rotas of this type. That is rotas providing 24hrs cover a day, seven days a week, for 365 days a year, with four teams of employees working three (8hr) shifts a day. It contains 35 fully illustrated examples of basic rotas that operate throughout the year. All the illustrative rotas generate cover for twenty-four hour a day, seven days a week, for 365 days. The rotas show patterns of work based on no rotation within blocks of shifts but a rapid rotation across blocks of shifts; a rapid forward rotation within blocks of shifts; a rapid semi-backward rotation within blocks of shifts; a rapid backward rotation within blocks of shifts; and a mixture of no rotation across blocks of shifts and various directions of rotation within blocks of shifts.
