For example, multiplying the evaluation/assessment results for the work demand ‘knowledge and skill’ by 3, whilst making no similar adjustment for other types of work demand such as ‘physical effort’ or ‘unavoidable hazards’.  A procedure that can, and does, alter the rank order of jobs and consequently pay differentials from those generated by the unweighted data.
