Prior to the main hearing of the case, a meeting required by the Employment Judge / Tribunal, either at their own volition or granted at the request of the Parties. This deals with procedural matters such as case timetables, progress reports, the provision of information and various other case management issues.
CMD’s can be in person or by telephone. They are often referred to by the acronyms CMD or TCMD. They are closed meeting without access by the general public. Normally confined to the Parties, their representatives, (if any), and perhaps expert witnesses. In complex cases there may be a series of such meetings.
